Prof. Zhong Fulan: Ph.D. in Philosophy, Fudan University. Formerly a vice-director and senior journalist in Shanghai People Broadcasting Station’s News Radio, and the editor of ‘Afternoon News Report’. He is on the committee of Shanghai Council of Social Service, the chief of Shanghai Folk Culture Society, the consultant of Hong Kong Institution of Chinese Culture, director of the second council of International Association of I-Ching Studies. He has published 35 works, such as The Origin of Chinese Scenery, Introduction to Chinese Folk Culture Studies, Modern Custom Change, Folklore and Culture Talk, Shanghai History and Local Customs, Illustrate Chinese Social Life Change nearly one century, Culture Roots, Chinese Hand· Customs and Rituals, Encyclopedic Knowledge of Chinese Mysterious Culture, Shanghai Customs—Shanghai Daily Life in Folk Culture perspective, Clear Water and Moist Soil—Customs of South Yangtze Areas, The Overview to Intangible Culture Heritage of Country Yue, Scenery Investigation, Folk Communication. He has published many other works and articles in newspapers and magazines at home and abroad, and conducted many projects on Shanghai folk culture studies.
